“The mind is always questioning and seeking clarity and to a certain extent this is useful and does bring clarity, but when the questions start being more deep and more complex then the mind simply cannot cope, it starts spinning and finding ways to drag in a lot of emotions and feelings which only confuse the heart and cause reaction rather than clarity.
The heart is where the center of the universe resides, but is it really? If our connection to the heart is from reaction rather than clarity. And how to realize this truth that many times we hear from great spiritual teachers or poets? Rumi says:
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
I believe that what Rumi is saying is very significant and can be applied in a very practical way to deal with the mind and its games.”
